ShopTrend is competitor and market research for Shopify sellers. We want to show what stores really sell in the most honest way we can: not the biggest number or the most confident chart, but the one you can make a decision with.
Why we started
Store research tools love one precise number. It looks authoritative, it is rarely right, and nothing on the screen tells you how far off it might be.
We took the opposite bet. Every estimate shows where the real value most likely sits, how sure we are and the day it was measured. When we cannot know, we say "not measured" and tell you why.
What we hold ourselves to
A number is a range
A range, a confidence level and a date on every estimate, in the dashboard, the API and the extension.
"Not measured" beats a guess
No fake zeros and no dashes. If we do not know, we say so and give the reason.
Your browsing stays yours
The extension reads only the tab you click, only when you click. No browsing history, no cookies.
Open sources only
Public store pages and public ad libraries. Nothing behind a login, and we follow robots.txt.
What we never do
- Show a single exact revenue figure for a store we cannot see.
- Read your browsing history, other tabs or cookies through the extension.
- Invent reviews, user counts or scarcity to make you buy faster.
- Re-host other people's ad creatives. We link to the source.
- Ignore a store owner who asks to be removed.
