Shopify theme detector
Type the address of a Shopify store and the theme detector shows the name of the theme it uses. When a store runs a custom-built or heavily changed theme, the result says so instead of guessing a name. It is free, it needs no account, and there is a small daily limit on checks.

What the result shows
- Theme name
- The name of the theme the store runs, for example a free theme from the Shopify theme store or a paid one.
- Custom theme
- Marked next to the name when the theme was built for the store or changed beyond the original.
- No result
- When the theme cannot be seen, or the store has not been checked yet, the result says so plainly. It never guesses a name.

How to use it
- Copy the store addressOpen the store in your browser and copy its address, for example store.example. It works with or without https:// and www.
- Paste it and checkPaste the address into the box above and press the button. The tool page opens with the result.
- Read the resultYou see the theme name, a "custom theme" note when it applies, or "no result" with the reason.
Questions
Is the theme detector free?
Yes. It needs no account or card. There is a small daily limit on checks so the tool stays quick for everyone.
What does "custom theme" mean?
Some stores use a theme made just for them, or change a theme so much that it no longer matches the original. The result then shows "custom theme" next to the name.
Why is there no result for a store?
The store may not be on Shopify, may not have been checked yet, or may not show its theme. You get "no result" rather than a guess.
Does the store owner see that I checked?
No. We do not notify the store, and you do not need to give a name or an email address to run a check.
